The City defender also says he would be personally ?gutted? to see the Argentine ace, who is sticking to his request for a transfer, quit the club. But he also said that even if Tevez manages to realise his desire to clinch a move to a Spanish club, City will continue their march towards the top of English football ? and that he has faith in manager Roberto Mancini. Richards made his feelings known on his Twitter account, initially saying on Sunday: ?I can?t say much on Carlos and he?s a top guy, but whatever happens, onwards and upwards. Gaffer will be in control and we are focused on the next game.? But on Tuesday Richards tweeted again, likening Tevez?s intended departure to the sales of Richard Dunne last season and Stevie Ireland in the summer. He said: ?Seen so many players come and go but Carlos would be a big loss if he left. I?d be gutted, same sort of feeling as when Dunney and Superman left.? For his part, Tevez has urged City boss Roberto Mancini to pick him for next week?s crunch clash with Everton. The City skipper knuckled back down to work in training yesterday after a four-day sunshine break in Tenerife, but with the cloud of his transfer request still hanging over him. But Tevez?s advisers have made it plain that the Argentine ace still wants to turn out for the Blues, and will give his all if selected for Monday night?s game. ?Carlos is fit and available for the next game,? a source close to the player told M.E.N. Sport. ?There was one report which suggested he would walk out and had played his last game for the club, but that was never the case.? Tevez, who earns a whopping £230,000-a-week, even gave hope to one City fan who shouted from a nearby public footpath: ?Don?t go Carlos!? The City top-scorer flashed him a grin and replied: ?I stay, I stay!? But that does not tally with the message from his camp, which is that he is adamant he wants to go in the January transfer window. Another City supporter had a novel approach to trying to change the star?s mind ? he scrawled the message: ?Once a Blue, always a Blue? in the dirt on Tevez?s car! There appeared to be no reactions to Tevez from teammates despite the player?s advisers saying that one of the reasons he wants to leave City is because Carrington is ?not a happy place to work?. Tevez will not fly to Turin today for Thursday night?s final Europa League group game against Juventus. He is expected to continue training with several other first-team players, including Mario Balotelli, as they work towards Monday?s game. Mancini has remained in Italy after having a minor eye operation on Monday and will link up with the squad at their hotel tonight, and is expected to meet with Tevez on Friday to discuss his immediate future.
