Richards dismisses City exit rumours

Micah Richards has dismissed reports linking him with a move away from Manchester City, saying he is "getting sick" of the speculation.[LNB] Richards' future at City has been the subject of speculation for some time with a number of sides credited with an interest in the 22-year-old.[LNB]The full-back admits he is fed up with speculation over his future and he is determined to fight for his place at Eastlands.[LNB]"I'm getting sick of reading rumours about myself now," Richards told the Manchester Evening News.[LNB]"We get linked with a different player every day, and various players in the City team get linked with different clubs.[LNB]"But for us, the main focus is on pre-season and working hard to get in the team.[LNB]"The transfer speculation is a topic of conversation among the boys. We are not going to lie and say it's not.[LNB]"We have banter about it sometimes, asking each other: 'Where are we going today? Which player is coming in today to replace us?'[LNB]"I don't think it can really faze the boys. What will be, will be. If we play, we play. If we don't, we don't.[LNB]"All you can do is knuckle down, give 100 per cent and hope you get in the team."[LNB]Richards has set his sights on winning his place back in the England squad after admitting he was devastated to miss out on the World Cup in South Africa. [LNB]"I wish I'd been there at the World Cup. But I can only work hard this season.[LNB]"One of my aims is to get back in there, and I hope I will do.[LNB]"I was devastated not to go to South Africa, but it's up to me now. If I knuckle down and achieve the form I'm capable of, then I should have no problem getting back in."
