Harry Redknapp is considering a fresh approach for Manchester City centre back Richard Dunne in his quest for a new defensive linchpin. With Ledley King still dogged by a persistent knee problem, Tottenham manager Redknapp wants to strengthen the middle of his defence this summer. Dunne, 29, could be made available for a cut-price fee of around £5m. Redknapp also has an interest in Newcastle centre half Steven Taylor. But Taylor, 23, feels a sense of loyalty to his current club.
