Rangers close in on Weiss loan
Rangers are set to beat Old Firm rivals Celtic to the signing of Manchester City starlet Vladimir Weiss.[LNB] City are ready to loan out the highy-rated 20-year-old and a number of clubs have been linked with the Slovakian international.[LNB]Weiss is well down the pecking order at Eastlands and Roberto Mancini is prepared to farm him out as he looks to trim his squad.[LNB]Celtic had been linked with a move for Weiss, but it appears Rangers have won the race.[LNB]Gers chief Walter Smith is keen to bolster his squad after losing a number of stars over the summer and he has lined up a season-long loan for Weiss.[LNB]The Daily Record claim Weiss will undergo a medical and hold talks with Rangers this morning before tying up a switch to Ibrox.
