Everton 1-2 Manchester CitySoccer Saturday analysis[LNB] Charlie Nicholas saw Robinho ruin David Moyes' birthday with a stunning display at Goodison Park - and was left craving more.[LNB]The Brazilian turned on the style to spur City to their first Premier League away victory since August, opening the scoring after 35 minutes before Stephen Ireland added a second on 54.[LNB]Substitute Dan Gosling grabbed a consolation goal for Everton in injury-time but it was not enough to earn the hosts an eighth straight home win.[LNB]"It's a big disappointment (for Everton). It's David Moyes' 46th birthday today but Phil Jagielka got stretchered off; it didn't look too concerning - hopefully that's the case with the FA Cup final coming up.[LNB]"They had just made three substitutions so they had to finish the match with 10 men; it wasn't a good day at the office for David Moyes and his team.[LNB]"But credit where credit is due. Robinho was sensational today, Stephen Ireland was brilliant and Mark Hughes' tactics and the way they used the ball, passed and probed on the counter-attack was very impressive.[LNB]"He must be sitting thinking 'why don't we play like that a lot more?' Not all the time, you can't expect to play like that all of the time.[LNB]"But Goodison is one of the toughest grounds to go to and win now and they made plenty of chances. The pass from Elano for Robinho's first goal was absolutely world class and it was a world-class finish.[LNB]"I've never seen Robinho so excited. The sunshine was out, the pitch was perfect, he was really in the mood for it. He was happy to get on the ball. He got a lot of freedom and used it."[LNB]DisappointThe result leaves City only seven points off seventh spot and a Europa League place but Nicholas believes the Eastlands outfit will have to perform far more consistently if they are to silence their detractors.[LNB]"I think the critics are there not because they lack ability but because their away form has been so unpredictable and disappointing at times," said Nicholas.[LNB]"When you see them play as they did today you think they could easily be challenging Aston Villa and Everton for the fifth and sixth spot - that's where they really should be with the quality they have. But they just disappoint.[LNB]"Everton really threw everything at them at the start of the second-half and an absolute world-class save from Shay Given - from an effort from six-yards out by Marouane Fellaini - has turned the game for them."[LNB]
