PREMIER LEAGUE LIVE: Bolton v Manchester City, Norwich v Stoke, Wolves v Fulham

21 August 2011 17:06
Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the Barclays Premier League as there are three Super Sunday games to wrap up the weekend action. New boys Norwich host Stoke at 1.30pm while Wolves take on Fulham at Molineux half-an-hour later. The day's final game comes from the Reebok Stadium at 4pm where Manchester City visit Bolton. Email me your thoughts on the match at dan.ripley@dailymail.co.uk or contact me on twitter @Ripinho[LNB] Premier LeagueBolton 2-3 Manchester City (4pm) FT[LNB]Norwich 1-1 Stoke (1.30pm) FT[LNB]Wolves 2-0 Fulham (2pm) FT[LNB]18.01: Well that's it from me but thanks for following the action this weekend - it's been quite eventful.[LNB]Of course there is one more fixture to come in this weekend's set of games, with Manchester United hosting Tottenham tomorrow night.[LNB]You can follow live coverage of that game with Sportsmail's Tom Barclay (who is still buzzing from Newcastle's win yesterday) but that's it from me here, cheerio.[LNB] Battle of the subs: Carlos Tevez (left) and Mark Davies contest an aerial ball[LNB]17.58: Good signs for Bolton there too. They may have lost at home but that is a decent team there and providing they can stay clear of injuries on a skeleton squad, the Trotters have cause to be optimistic for the rest of the campaign.[LNB]17.55: So two games gone and Manchester City are top of the Premier League.[LNB]Too early to judge, maybe. But I will not be surprised if Mancini's men are still up there come May.[LNB]Full-time: Bolton 2-3 Manchester City[LNB]17.51: Good little run from Carlos Tevez, who has to go it alone as City are defending numbers but his shot is easily stopped by Jaaskelainen. Probably should have kept possession.[LNB]17.50: There will be four minutes added on as Bolton roll back the Sam Allardyce years with some...direct passes shall we say.[LNB]17.48: A final change from City as Pablo Zabaleta replaces David Silva - much to the relief of Bolton. The Spaniard has been incredible, again.[LNB]17.45: Five minutes left and I'm not cashing in on a 3-2 just yet.[LNB]17.43: Precisely the reason I rate Johnson. In the box he makes mince meat of Knight before firing just wide at an angle. Probably should have scored but terrific play.[LNB]17.42: Oh, and a sub in the aftermath of the Robinson/Silva incident saw Johnson replace Dzeko.[LNB] New and old fan favourites: Argentine Aguero makes way for his compatriot Tevez[LNB]17.41: Around eight minutes to go here as bright sunshine beats down on the turf, City win a corner.[LNB]17.39: Naughty from Paul Robinson who leads with his foot on Silva and there is no place for that in the game.[LNB]The referee is unsighted though so he escapes punishment, even if Silva's reaction was exaggerated in relation to the contact actually made.[LNB]17.38: And he he comes to replace Eagles.[LNB]17.36: I think this is the first time I have been able to breathe this half. Both teams having an odd sparring session that you would associate at the beginning of a game. Bolton preparing Darren Pratley to come on.[LNB]17.33: Good stuff. Kolarov and Milner combine with the former hitting a shot with the outside of his left foot just wide across goal.[LNB]17.30: Bolton really are having a go at this and their fans are making incredible noise to get behind their team.[LNB]This game is a brilliant advert for the Premier League.[LNB]17.27: And that is one player I didn't think would be in a City shirt this season. He makes an instant impact as well, cutting back for Silva who sees his goal bound shot blocked.[LNB] Heads up: Kevin Davies (white) pulls one back for Bolton[LNB]17.26: Carlos Tevez is on to rich applause from the City fans as he replaces Aguero - who doesn't look overjoyed with the decision.[LNB]17.24: What an open game we have here. End-to-end stuff and we have a game on here.[LNB]17.21: GOAL! BOLTON 2-3 Manchester City[LNB]Fabulous No. 9 stuff from Kevin Davies. in pure Alan Shearer style, the striker leaps like a salmon to beat Lescott to a header and nod Petrov's free-kick past Hart. No one ever suggest the traditional No. 9 role is dead when this man is about. [LNB]17.18: Fabulous defending from Gary Cahill. Aguero sprints off down the left like Speedy Gonzalez and his cross is destined to be tapped in until the centre-back stretches out to divert it behind for a corner.[LNB] Looking ahead: Aguero (right) skips the challenge of Muamba[LNB]17.17: A change for Bolton as Mark Davies comes on for Muamaba. An attacking replacement that.[LNB]17.16: City still dominating proceedings. Bolton don't look out of it but Mancini's side are just unplayable on this form.[LNB]'Boring, boring City' cry the sarcastic visiting fans.[LNB]17.13: Dzeko has the Midas touch right now. His deft pass picks out Milner through the centre, whose shot takes the slightest of deflections off Reo-Coker to go just wide. Goal kick is given though.[LNB]17.11: And in this parallel universe, Chris Eagles is showing signs he is anything but confident.[LNB]Fair play to the lad for linking up in a one-two with Klasnic but his shot wide is poor and he looked like he was scared off the ball as the City defenders closed in.[LNB] On form: Dzeko looked bright and scored City's third goal[LNB]17.09: Bolton are not a bad side but City are tearing them a new one. Milner tries his luck with a curler from the edge of the box which Jaaskelainen does well to stop.[LNB]17.06: GOAL! Bolton 1-3 MANCHESTER CITY[LNB]Signed in January, arrived in August. Edin Dzeko does fantastic to control a falling ball, shake off Knight and fire past Jaaskelainen inside the box.[LNB]If him and Aguero continue like this, it's impossible to see how Tevez and Balotelli can claim a place in the starting XI.[LNB]17.04: No changes as we get back underway for the second period.[LNB] Where's the ball? Micah Richards (left) and Kevin Davies get caught in a tangle[LNB]17.00: Blackpool striker Kevin Phillips defends Jaaskelainen for the first goal, saying the ball moves in the air.[LNB]It's a new Premier League football so it's another Jabulani situation all over again![LNB]How these football designers can come out and say they are the best ever and move in true flight is an absolute joke. Just bring back the Mitre Ultimax - a proper football.[LNB]16.55: And speaking of people who are far from useless, OptaJoe gives us the facts on Klasnic:[LNB]117.7 - Ivan Klasnic has the second best mins-per-goal rate in PL history (10+ goals), behind only Javier Hernandez (114.3). Dangerous.[LNB]16.49: (See 16.37) Oh for the love of God can we not have one journalist  who doesnt jump on the bandwagon? What a stupid statement.[LNB]Rita Fitton[LNB]Just a tongue-in-cheek comment from myself Rita. I've seen enough of the little maestro to know he is anything but useless.[LNB] Back in it: Bolton responded instantly through Ivan Klasnic's (left) half-volley[LNB]16.48: Half-time: Bolton 1-2 Manchester City[LNB]16.45: Two minutes added on here.[LNB]16.43: Two bookings in a minute for Bolton as Fabrice Muamaba is booked for dissent and Kevin Davies receives a yellow for a sneaky foul on Aguero.[LNB]16.40: GOAL! BOLTON 1-2 Manchester City[LNB]Liquid football! Nigel Reo-Coker picks Petrov out with a long ball to the wing and the Bulgarian's low cross is crashed home by Ivan Klasnic. That's two goals in two starts for the striker and Bolton are back in business.[LNB] Crackerjack: Barry (right) celebrates his strike that put Manchester City 2-0 up[LNB]16.39: GOAL! Bolton 0-2 MANCHESTER CITY[LNB]Stone me, what a strike! From at least 25-yards Gareth Barry has unleashed a thunderbolt into the top corner.[LNB]It nearly took Richards' head off on it's way through and City are now cruising.[LNB]16.37: Maybe Aguero is useless after all. Dzeko clips a lovely cross into the centre and with a free header the Argentine sends the effort wide across goal. Again he should score.[LNB]16.34: City are a different kettle of fish this season. They are playing with so much more confidence and that includes Edin Dzeko, who looks a completely different player to the anonymous forward he was last season.[LNB] Out on front: David Silva (left) and Joleon Lescott celebrate the former's strike[LNB]16.31: City have the ball in the net again as Aguero taps home from a Micah Richards cross, but the full-back gave Martin Petrov the push before delivering his low ball and the effort is chalked off.[LNB]16.28: Wow the travelling support is loud as the Mancini chants are ringing out in support. The home fans a bit quiet right now, their team is getting out played here.[LNB]16.25: GOAL! Bolton 0-1 MANCHESTER CITY[LNB]Jaaskelainen should have gone to Specsavers.[LNB]David Silva's shot from the edge of the box is powerful but it's straight at the keeper who somehow dodges it as it deflects off of him and into the goal. A howler.[LNB] Collision course: Jaaskelainen (right) dives at the feet of Milner[LNB]16.22: Ha ha! Ivan Klasnic and Kompany tangle which results in the Bolton striker squaring up and pushing the defender.[LNB]Kompany responds by offering a handshake which the Bolton striker happily responds to by shaking his hand. Great scenes.[LNB]16.19: Hero to zero. City produce a lovely passing move that should end with a goal after Edin Dzeko spots Aguero unmarked at the far post. But the Argentine blazes over - should score.[LNB]16.17: Wonderful stop from Jussi Jaaskelainen who clearly is a bit mental after diving towards a sea of feet to cut out Aleksandar Kolarov's cross. He made the save though and is still standing so that gets filed into the brave category.[LNB] Acrobats: Bolton's Kevin Davies (left) tangles with Manchester City's Vincent Kompany[LNB]16.15: Play has become settled as City start to assert their passing game on Bolton.[LNB]16.12: Fantastic chance for Zat Knight. City's clearance from a corner is poor and it falls straight for the defender who hits a first time strike just wide.[LNB]16.11: David Silva as ever pulling the strings for Manchester City but Bolton have a man on Aguero, a smart move that is paying off so far, he hasn't had too much of a look in.[LNB] Benched: Carlos Tevez had to settle for a place among the subs[LNB]16.10: Plenty of tough challenges too especially from Bolton who are...let's say letting the visitors know they are there.[LNB]16.07: Typical Permier League game this. It's fast paced and end-to-end and I can see one or three goals this afternoon.[LNB]16.04: Free-kick in a good position on the edge of the box for Bolton after Vincent Kompany and Kevin Davis tangle.[LNB]Chris Eagles  forces a good save from Hart before City scramble clear.[LNB]16.01: Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp in the stands for this one, shaking hands with former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira. Cover in case the Lassana Diarra falls through? Stranger things have happened.[LNB]16.00: And on cue Manchester City, in red and black, kick off.[LNB]15.58: Full-time: Wolves 2-0 Fulham[LNB]15.57: Players gathered in the tunnel at the Reebok Stadium, while are just playing out time at Wolves as George Elokobi replaces Fletcher.[LNB]15.54: Michael Kightly replaces Jarvis for Wolves as we enter injury time.[LNB]15.52: Looks like an injury for Hunt as he had to limp off. A black spot on an otherwise perfect day for Wolves who are heading for the Premier League summit.[LNB] At arm's length: Clint Dempsey holds back Richard Stearman[LNB]15.49: First sub for Wolves with Kevin Foley on for Hunt.[LNB]15.46: How dangerous are those 2-0 leads? Out of no where Fulham nearly produce an equaliser.[LNB]Hennessey does well to even parry Johnson's effort but with Dempsey set to tap home the rebound, Ward is on the scene to slide in and steal the ball off the American.[LNB]15.43: Wolves continue to dominate though with Hunt showing great invention to force Schwarzer into a good save from the edge of the box.[LNB]15.40: Desperate times call for desperate measures and Clint Dempsey sums up Fulham by firing a 30-yard effort well wide.[LNB]15.37: An awesome stat from OptaJoe:[LNB]53.3 per cent - For the first time ever in the PL (116 games) Stoke have recorded more than 50 per cent possession in a single match. Patience.[LNB]15.34: Fulham having a very bad day at the office. Brede Hangeland and Danny Murphy have both gave the ball away easily, leading to chances for Fletcher and O'Hara who both go close.[LNB] Getting shirty: Kasami (right) pulls on Henry's shirt[LNB]15.32: From InfostradaLive:[LNB]mcfc are looking to keep five clean sheets in a row for first time in the top flight in 96 years.[LNB]15.29: Those subs have not worked for Fulham, although Dembele has not been too bad.[LNB]Schwarzer is coming under siege in goal as Hunt and Jarvis take turns to unleash their ammo.[LNB]15.26: They were close but not close enough. Norwich have made a habit of scoring late goals in the last couple of years but Stoke have somehow taken a point from the game by given the Canaries a taste of their own medicine.[LNB]Home fans in positive spirits though as they applaud their players off the field. Good on them, a points is the least they deserved.[LNB]15.25: Full-time: Norwich 1-1 Stoke[LNB] Last gasp: Jones (left) heads home Stoke's equaliser in injury time[LNB]15.23: GOAL! Norwich 1-1 STOKE[LNB]Norwich City, welcome to the cruel, cruel world of the Premier League.[LNB]Whelan sends in a cross and Kenwyne Jones peels away from Ayala to bullet a header home with just seconds left.[LNB] Guess who's back: Norwich joint majority share holder Delia Smith was in attendance at Carrow Road[LNB]15.20: Five minutes of injury time at Norwich.[LNB]15.17: We are into the second half at Molineux where Fulham have made two changes. Moussa Dembele and Steve Sidwell are on for Pajtim Kasami and Etuhu.[LNB]15.14: No backs to the wall tactics from Paul Lambert as he brings on Simeon Jackson for Martin. Five minutes left.[LNB]15.11: But it's Shotton's feet that are doing the talking. His cross/shot forcing a great save from Ruddy.[LNB] Pure delight: Norwich fans celebrate Walters' penalty miss[LNB]15.10: Manchester City subs:[LNB]Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Johnson, Savic, Clichy, Tevez, Balotelli.[LNB]15.09: Remember me saying Shawcross was on a tight rope after being booked? Well he should be heading down the tunnel after wiping out martin on the halfway line. He gets away with it though and the home fans vent their frustration.[LNB]15.08: Ryan Shotton is on for Woodgate. Injured? It doesn't look like it but I will say no more other than Shotton is a graduate from the Rory Delap long throw academy.[LNB]15.07: Bolton subs:[LNB]Bogdan, Alonso, M Davies, Blake, Pratley, Wheater, Blakeman.[LNB]15.06: Manchester City starting XI:[LNB]Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Milner, Dzeko, Kolarov, Aguero, Barry, Silva, Y Toure.[LNB] Paying the penalty: Walters saw his spot kick saved by Ruddy [LNB]15.05: Bolton starting XI:[LNB]Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Eagles, Muamba, Reo-Coker, Petrov, K Davies, Klasnic.[LNB]15.04: Andrew Surman is also on to replace Bennett - 15 minutes left.[LNB]15.02: Daniel Ayala is given a loud reception as he comes on to make his debut in place of Pilkington.[LNB]Stoke in the ascendancy though with the extra man.[LNB]14.59: Norwich's attendance today is 26.272. It's unconfined but that looks like a club record since Carrow Road went all-seater in 1992.[LNB] Double joy: Wolves hit two goals just before half time[LNB]14.56: Half-time: Wolves 2-0 Fulham[LNB]14.55: But Carrow Road goes bonkers as Ruddy dives to save Walters' penalty. Norwich still in the lead but down to 10 man.[LNB]Incredibly harsh though, Barnett seemed to stumble into Walters and it was outside the box as his dismissal led to the penalty.[LNB]14.54: PENALTY (Stoke)[LNB]14.54: RED CARD (Leon Barnett, Norwich)[LNB]14.53: GOAL! WOLVES 2-0 Fulham[LNB]Roger Johnson's header smashes off the post but Matt Jarvis is on hand to sweep up and double the hosts lead. Martin Jol's plans to hold on until half-time lay in tatters...much like his defence really.[LNB]14.52: At Norwich, Ruddy does excellently to tip behind Etherington's 25-yard free-kick.[LNB]14.50: GOAL! WOLVES 1-0 Fulham[LNB]They are not struggling anymore though. It's a scramble in the box but the ball falls for Kevin Doyle who makes up for his miss earlier on by firing a left foot drive into the top corner.[LNB]14.47: While at Molineux, Wolves remain on top but are struggling in the final third as we approach half-time.[LNB]14.44: Stoke have improved a little this half and Walters has a decent chance after being fed by Etherington. Norwich still the better side though.[LNB]14.40: And Norwich are back on the attack with Chris Martin (not that one) getting the best out of Asmir Begovic.[LNB]14.38: What a chance for Wolves! Kevin Doyle does the hard bit by going around Mark Schwarzer but with an open goal, blazes over. Cue a sea of Wolves fans burying heads in hands.[LNB] Tangle: Fulham's Andy Johnson battles for the ball with Wolves' Christophe Berra[LNB]14.36: Back underway at Carrow Road then.[LNB]14.34: Sportsmail's Alex Kay at Carrow Road:[LNB]Teams are back out here. Imagine Tony Pulis threw a few Lucozade bottles and caps at HT[LNB]14.32: Wolves looking very dangerous down the left. Jarvis is really given the visitors the run around here and his link up with Ward has been impressive.[LNB]14.29: While there is a brief lull in the action, I can't wait for the Manchester City team news.[LNB]Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero, both, neither! A penny for Mancini's thoughts. I hope there is space for Mario Balotelli though - even if it is on the bench[LNB]14.27: Johnson is proving quite the creator so far, this time teeing up Dickson Etuhu who sees his shot easily saved by Hennessey.[LNB]I remember when he was stuck out on the right wing by Sven Goran Eriksson for England, I can finally see what the Swede was getting at.[LNB]14.25: And back to Carrow Road - that is a deserved lead. I can't see too many teams having an easy ride at Norwich this term. Or as Delia would say: 'Let's be 'avin you!'[LNB]14.23: Top game at Molineux. Andrew Johnson has looked lively and his ball to Damien Duff is rifled towards goal on his weaker right foot that produces a smart save from Wayne Hennessy.[LNB]At the other end Matt Jarvis looks like he is back to his best, sending in a few decent crosses.[LNB] Respect: Former Wolves players pay tribute to former teammate Frank Munro before the game[LNB]14.21: I'm not anti-pictures today by the way, just they have been very slow coming in from Carrow Road.[LNB]14.19: Half-time: Norwich 1-0 Stoke[LNB]14.17: From OptaJoe:[LNB]13 - Stoke conceded 13 headed goals in the PL during 2010-11, only Villa (14) and West Ham (15) conceded more. Frailty.[LNB]14.14: It's not been a great five minutes for Stoke's defence as Bennett's cross has to be tipped behind by Begovic after taking a wicked deflection off Woodgate.[LNB]14.13: Nervy moments for Stoke for the rest of the game as they have both their centre-backs booked with Shawcross picking up a yellow card for kicking the ball away.[LNB]14.11: And an early chance at Molineux for the home side.[LNB]Stephen Hunt's cross to the byline is cleared to the edge of the box where Karl Henry's powerful strike is blocked for a corner.[LNB]14.08: We are underway at Molineux and NOT Fulham as I stupidly typed at 13.59.[LNB] Net buster: Ritchie Da Laet heads Norwich in front[LNB]14.07: GOAL! NORWICH 1-0 Stoke[LNB]Stoke have been...out-Stoked! Johnson hits a lovely free-kick from the touchline which Ritchie De Laet rises up highest for to glance a header past Begovic.[LNB]Woodgate gave away the free-kick before that, picking up a booking for his troubles.[LNB]14.03: I was worried about Pennant and his day is indeed over, replaced after 31 minutes by Danny Pugh. Not too sure what the injury is yet.[LNB]14.01: There are a host of underrated players in the Stoke team. One of them, Matthew Etherington sees his angled drive from inside the box well saved by Ruddy.[LNB]Judging by the players that win caps I would consider him for England...but then I don't earn ?6m a year.[LNB]13.59: News from Wolves is the kick-off will be delayed by five minutes due to traffic congestion around the ground.[LNB]Moral of the story? Take the train (then complain about the joke prices.)[LNB] Lively start: Elliott Bennett (right) challenges Marc Wilson[LNB]13.57: Some news just coming on from the Premier League in general. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said Samir Nasri's move to Manchester City 'is a long way off'.[LNB]Quite ridiculous really, I have head everything from the deal has collapsed to the deal is done in the last couple of days.[LNB]13.55: Norwich turning the screw as Pilkington sees his half-volley blocked.[LNB]13.54: Can't fault Asmir Begovic's concentration. Having spent the first-half reading Paul Lambert's programme notes, the Stoke keeper reacts well to tip Bradley Johnson's powerful strike over the bar.[LNB]13.51: A quiet start at Carrow Road, much of that to do with robust defences.[LNB]Ryan Shawcross and Woodgate are once again looking solid. If the former Spurs centre-back stays fit that could be one hell of a defence this term.[LNB]13.48: From InfostradaLive:[LNB]Steven Fletcher has scored five goals in his last five PL matches - more than any other #epl player since the start of May.[LNB]A point worth bringing up. Drowned out by Champions League finals and Survival Sundays, this guy was on fire towards the back end of last season - and now at the start of this.[LNB]13.46: Some slight concerns for Jermaine Pennant who certainly doesn't look 100 per cent.[LNB]13.44: Claims for a penalty as Leon Barnett goes down under a Robert Huth challenge (to be fair not many people are left still standing after a tangle with the German) but penalty claims are waved away by referee Neil Swarbick.[LNB] Under pressure: Stoke's Kenwyne Jones fends off Norwich's Ritchie De Laet[LNB]13.41: Wolves manager Mick McCarthy names an unchanged side for this afternoon's Barclays Premier League clash with Fulham at Molineux.[LNB]McCarthy sticks with the same first XI from Wanderers' opening-day 2-1 victory at Blackburn, with Steven Fletcher and Kevin Doyle leading the attack.[LNB]Fulham boss Martin Jol makes four adjustments from Thursday night's 3-0 Europa League win against Dnipro, recalling Andrew Johnson, Dickson Etuhu, Philippe Senderos and John Arne Riise to the team in place of Bobby Zamora - who is not included in the squad - Steve Sidwell, Matthew Briggs and Stephen Kelly.[LNB]13.38: And a slight cause of concern for Stoke's defence who have to react quickly to charge down Anthony Pilkington's drive from the edge of the box. A lively old start.[LNB]13.35: Positive start from Norwich but it's Stoke with the first sighting of goal.[LNB]Good link up play between Kenwyne Jones and Jon Walters sees the latter have a snap shot comfortably saved by John Ruddy.[LNB]13.32: And apologies for the (wrong) timing of the kick-offs - all now amended.[LNB]13.31: Away we go at Carrow Road.[LNB]13.28: Full team news from Molineux:[LNB]Wolverhampton v FulhamWolverhampton: Hennessey, Stearman, Johnson, Berra, Ward, Jarvis, Henry, O'Hara, Hunt, Doyle, Fletcher. Subs: De Vries, Elokobi, Kightly, Ebanks-Blake, Hammill, Milijas, Foley.[LNB]Fulham: Schwarzer, Hughes, Hangeland, Senderos, John Arne Riise, Duff, Etuhu, Murphy, Kasami, Dempsey, Johnson. Subs: Etheridge, Kelly, Sidwell, Gecov, Frei, Briggs, Dembele.[LNB]Referee: Mike Dean (Wirral)[LNB]13.25: Norwich striker James Vaughan at Carrow Road:[LNB]At the stadium! The place is buzzing! Come on boys!! [LNB]13.22: Well I'm ardent Bolton supporter and I think that we will turnover City today. And I will be watching from a bar in Spain.[LNB]Stanley Dyson[LNB]Reasons to be positive for Bolton fans? Or is the cause for optimism related to the last sentence?[LNB] Reasons to be cheerful: Stephen Ward (centre) celebrates giving Wolves the lead at Blackburn[LNB]13.19: From our good friends at InfostradaLive:[LNB]Stoke City are unbeaten in all 8 visits to promoted clubs since their promotion in 2008[LNB]13.16: Subs. De Vries, Foley, Eokobi, Milijas, Hammill, Kightly, Ebanks-Blake.[LNB]13.13: Now I have done my homework, here is the actual Wolves starting XI:[LNB]Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Henry, O'Hara, Hunt, Fletcher, Doyle.[LNB]13.11: Slightly off-topic...okay it's massively off topic but Des Kelly's column is definitely worth a few minutes of your time.[LNB]I normally agree with him on a range of issues but this week I think he is way off the mark regarding his views on Tottenham. Its a game of opinion I suppose.[LNB]13.07: Wolves are unchanged from the side that came from behind to beat Blackburn 2-1 last week.[LNB]13.04: And an hour away from now Wolves have the opportunity to go top (for at least a couple of hours) by securing a win at home to Fulham.[LNB]I can imagine Mick McCarthy somehow taking Wolves to the cream and still dividing opinion not just in the game but by his club;s own fan base. He really is a Marmite manager.[LNB] Solid as a rock: Jonathan Woodgate (left) comes back into the Stoke defence after impressing on his debut against Chelsea[LNB]13.00: Norwich manager Paul Lambert leaves new signing Daniel Ayala on the bench for this afternoon's Barclays Premier League clash with Stoke at Carrow Road.[LNB]With centre-half Zak Whitbread out because of a knee injury picked up at Wigan, Leon Barnett comes into the defence.[LNB]There are also starts for summer arrivals Anthony Pilkington, Elliott Bennett and Kyle Naughton - but Wes Hoolahan, who scored at the DW Stadium, is among the substitutes.[LNB]Stoke make four changes from the team which beat FC Thun in their Europa League qualifier on Thursday night.[LNB]Asmir Begovic comes back into goal, while Jonathan Woodgate, Jermaine Pennant and Glenn Whelan are also recalled.[LNB]12.56: Full confirmation of the line-ups:[LNB]Norwich v StokeNorwich: Ruddy, Naughton, Barnett, De Laet, Tierney, Bennett, Crofts, Bradley Johnson, Pilkington, Holt, Chris Martin. Subs: Rudd, Russell Martin, Jackson, Surman, Hoolahan, Fox, Ayala.[LNB]Stoke: Begovic, Shawcross, Huth, Woodgate, Wilson, Pennant, Whelan, Whitehead, Etherington, Jones, Walters. Subs: Sorensen, Collins, Pugh, Upson, Wilkinson, Shotton, Arismendi.[LNB]Referee: Neil Swarbrick (Lancashire)[LNB]12.52: I can't believe I'm typing this but for the experienced Tony Pulis a new managerial chapter awaits today.[LNB]It's becoming a cliche but can he juggle his squad around Europe and the Premier League?[LNB]He has had some practice at altering a line-up from the brutal days in the Championship where the 46 league games separate the men from the boys.[LNB]But continental trips are a different thing and he will learn a lot about his squad's fitness today.[LNB] Super sub: Wes Hoolahan snatched a draw for Norwich last week but has to do with a place on the bench[LNB]12.49: Another top read for you comes from Joe Bernstein and his interview with Manchester City winger Adam Johnson. It's pretty deep...[LNB]On the subject of Johnson I hope he starts today, he is criminally underused by Roberto Mancini.[LNB]12.46: Sportsmail's Alex Kay at Carrow Road:[LNB]Amazed there is no Morison or Fox. but fox does have a hand injury. No Hoolahan either... going robust with Johnson I guess.[LNB]12.43: Subs: Rudd, R Martin, Jackson, Surman, Hoolahan, Fox, Ayala.[LNB]12.40: Norwich starting XI:[LNB]Ruddy, Johnson, Crofts, Holt (C), Pilkington, C Martin, Bennett, Barnett, Tierney, De Laet, Naughton.[LNB]12.37: Kick-off is just under an hour away so why not read the Mail on Sunday's Gary Neville take on playing for England.[LNB]If like me your a passionate England fan, it makes for painful reading. If you laugh at the the Three Lions' slapstick performances every other summer go ahead and read before laughing at my expense.[LNB]12.34: And the subs: Sorensen, Collins, Pugh, Upson, Wilkinson, Shotton, Upson.[LNB]12.32: Stoke starting XI:[LNB]Begovic; Huth, Shawcross (c), Woodgate, Wilson; Pennant, Whitehead, Whelan, Etherington; Walters, Jones[LNB]12.28: Unlike yesterday, I don't think there is too much to read in to these fixtures in terms of defining a season (Tottenham haven't kicked a ball yet, it's that early) but it will certainly give us clues into the strengths and weaknesses.[LNB]Norwich for me need a good performance against Stoke. The Potters are not the greatest of travellers and have just arrived back from Switzerland from their Europa League exploits.
