Players pick Tevez among the best

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has been included on a shortlist of four players nominated for the PFA player of the year award.[LNB] The Argentina international has been a pivotal figure for the Blues since his controversial summer move from neighbours Manchester United, scoring 28 goals in all competitions.[LNB]United striker Wayne Rooney has been installed as the overwhelming favourite to land the award.[LNB]Like Rooney, Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has been selected for both the main award, and the young player of the year prize.[LNB]Didier Drogba might not have hit the heights as consistently as in other years, but his goals ensured Chelsea came through their rocky patch and the Ivory Coast striker is also on the shortlist.[LNB]City goalkeeper Joe Hart is in contention for the PFA Young Player of the Year award after a superb season on loan at Birmingham. Hart will go up against Rooney, Fabregas and Aston Villa midfielder James Milner for the gong.
