Manchester City winger Martin Petrov admits he is happy at the club but wants to start more regularly. Petrov has started just two games for Mark Hughes' side this season and he has impressed in those two appearances, scoring against West Ham last month and Wigan last weekend. The Bulgarian international voiced his discontent at being dropped for City's previous game at Aston Villa and he believes his performances should earn him more opportunities in the starting XI. "I'm happy with my form," Petrov told The Mirror. "I'm a professional football player and I want to show the manager that I'm in good form and that I should have a place in this team. "I'm happy here and I want to continue here." The skilful winger is a big favourite with the City fans and he admits their support has helped him cope with being in and out of the side. "I love the fans because they are all the time behind me when I'm injured and now in this difficult time for me," added Petrov. "I say thank you for that and the team really appreciate their support, especially in the very, very difficult game against Wigan when we were down to 10 men for 20 to 25 minutes. "They were our 12th man and they helped us win this point."
