Panucci turns down chance to leave Roma for the Premier League

Hull [LNB]and Manchester City[LNB]have missed out on the chance to sign veteran Roma defender Christian Panucci who will remain at the club until the end of the season, according to his agent.   [LNB]The 35-year-old announced last week his wish to leave Roma after failing to earn a regular spot in Luciano Spalletti's starting XI, alerting Premiership interest.[LNB] Staying put: Panucci will remain in Italy despite failing to make the Roma starting line-up[LNB]However, his agent Oscar Damiani said: "Christian will remain at Roma and will respect his contract, though we have not been able to resolve his situation.  [LNB] "We haven't been able to reach an agreement, as the offers we received were not considered good enough by the player."   [LNB]Panucci, who joined Roma from Inter Milan in 2001, has yet to extend his contract  which ends in June with the Giallorossi.
