Neymar's unreal medical gives renewed hope to Manchester City

Rumours that Brazilian superstar Neymar has under gone a medical with Spanish giants Real Madrid seem to be unfounded and have given fresh hope to Manchester City and Chelsea who both have designs on the Santos striker. Neymar had been expected to sign a pre-contract at the Bernabau this week as a prelude to becoming the newest addition to the latest version of the Galacticos in the summer of 2012. This alleged medical was seen as cast iron proof that the transfer was a done deal.

However with the player concentrating on playing for Santos in the upcoming FIFA World Club Cup and also on his preparations for next summer's London Olympics, reports suggest that he is yet to put his mind to where he will begin the 2012/13 European domestic season. With the player's valuation set to exceed the record of £80 million paid to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo the market for him is very limited with only the two money-bags English Premier League clubs likely to be in a position to compete with Real for his signature.
