// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Everton boss David Moyes has reiterated his stance that the club will not be selling Joleon Lescott to Manchester City.[LNB] Lescott has been a target for City throughout the summer and Everton have rejected offers of £15million and £18million from their Premier League rivals.[LNB]The Toffees have also turned down a transfer request from the England international, leading Moyes to criticise City's pursuit of the centre-half at his Friday press conference.[LNB]And, speaking after Saturday's 6-1 home hammering by Arsenal, Moyes again stressed that the former Wolves defender would not be leaving Goodison Park.[LNB]City manager Mark Hughes had stated earlier in the day that he believes a deal could still be done, but Moyes has been quick to refute his counterpart's claims.[LNB]Moyes said: "There is no deal, is there? And I have said often enough that Everton are not selling."[LNB]Confidence knockedReflecting on his team's thumping by Arsenal, Moyes expressed his disappointment as his players' inability to perform the basic tasks.[LNB]He added: "We need to do better, I need to do better and coach them better to make sure we stop that happening again.[LNB]"There are no excuses for that. I take the responsibility and do better with the players that I have got.[LNB]"I have to do something about it (bringing people in). But that was virtually the cup final team, so the players have to take their responsibility to head the ball out of the box, mark people and go with runners at set-pieces.[LNB]"These things should be their basics. Things we should be doing naturally.[LNB]"There was too much wrong to mention. It was a disappointing result and it has knocked our confidence."[LNB]
