Manchester City defender Micah Richards is confident that the club have enough quality to capture the Uefa Cup this season.[LNB] With an impressive 2-0 home leg victory over AaB Aalborg on Thursday evening, the blue half of Manchester is starting to dream of glory in Europe.[LNB]Of course, with a quarter-final berth not yet secured, City have a long way to go if they are to achieve their aim, but the 20-year-old star insists that the players must have faith in their own ability if they are to fulfil their potential.[LNB]"We know we can go far in this competition, now we can start believing it a little bit more," Richards told the club's official website.[LNB]"We have the players to go as far as we can; now it is down to us.[LNB]"After the Villa game we had a lot of confidence and we wanted to give it 100% against Aalborg. We had a few players missing again, but we worked well as a team and we showed we can play our football whoever is on the pitch."[LNB]ConfidenceCity must now travel to Denmark for the return leg, but with such a strong advantage, Richards is aware that securing an away goal would almost guarantee their progress to the quarter-finals.[LNB]"We're confident we can get a goal. We have to go over there and just play our football," he added.[LNB]"In this competition we have done well away from home so hopefully we can carry that form on and go through.[LNB]"We've played a lot of games this season, it has been a tough ride for us, but we are just trying to get our bodies and minds right so we can keep going."[LNB]
