Marshall makes Vale switch

Manchester City starlet Paul Marshall has joined Port Vale on a one-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old recently spent a similar spell with Championship outfit Blackpool, but failed to make an impact at Bloomfield Road.

He made just two appearances for the Seasiders, with his debut curtailed after just two minutes as he was sacrificed following the dismissal of Blackpool keeper Paul Rachubka.

Marshall now joins a side in the bottom tier of English football, with Vale currently struggling towards the foot of League Two.

He has gone straight into Dean Glover's squad for the Valiants' weekend clash with Bournemouth.
