Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini believes Manchester United are becoming wary of the threat posed by the Eastlands outfit.[LNB] United defender Patrice Evra has taunted City ahead of the game, saying they "never" win the derby, but Mancini believes the Red Devils are very aware of the threat his side now pose.[LNB]"I think that they now know we are a strong team," Mancini said.[LNB]"I think the situation has changed in this moment.[LNB]"We have a lot of respect for United, a lot of respect for Fergie because he is the top manager in the world but we understand that we can better them always now.[LNB]"I think it will be a good game."[LNB]Meanwhile Mancini has reiterated the club's stance that a three-game ban for Mario Balotelli is too harsh.[LNB]The £24million striker, who arrived from Inter Milan in the summer, was sent off in the victory over West Brom on Sunday after scoring a brace.[LNB]City are awaiting the outcome of an FA appeal hearing against an automatic three-match ban for Balotelli's dismissal against the Baggies.[LNB]Mancini said: "Mario is a young guy, a top player, sometimes he can make a mistake. That is normal.[LNB]"In the last game the punishment was too severe.[LNB]"I hope he can improve in all ways. When you are a young guy you must improve day by day. That is important."[LNB]Mancini could be short of attacking options against United as Emmanuel Adebayor is doubtful with a calf injury.[LNB]Aleksandar Kolarov is pushing for a place in the starting line-up following his recovery from an ankle injury.
