PAINFUL BLOW: Shay Given receives treatment for his shoulder injuryManchester City manager Robert Mancini believes his side can cope without Shay Given after the Irishman went off injured in the goalless draw at Arsenal. Given suffered what looked like a serious shoulder injury when diving to make a save in the second half and was replaced by Faroe Islands international Gunnar Nielsen. ?I hope it?s a little injury, but I don?t know. Now Shay is in the hospital so I don?t know,? Mancini said after the Barclays Premier League match on ESPN. ?I don?t think we have a problem for the next three games.? Defender Kolo Toure admitted Given will be a loss, but gave his backing to Nielsen. ?I think he?s done his shoulder,? said the Ivorian. ?He?s a really important player for us. ?I think the second goalkeeper did really well.? Mancini was pleased to hold the Gunners at the Emirates ?It?s a good point. I think we played a good game today,? the Italian said on ESPN. ?Today I think we deserved a point. I think a draw is the right result. We had spirit and character, it?s not easy to play here.? Mancini brought on former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor early in the second half, to jeers from the home crowd. ?When Manu came on the pitch we played more offensively, we player better,? said Mancini. ?He played very well.? Toure also saw the draw as a point gained. ?One point is always really good because when you go to Arsenal it?s always really difficult to play against them,? he said. ?It was a really tough game. Both teams were a little bit scared as we know each other and both teams have good strikers.? What do you think? Have your say.| Submit Comments| PrintWhat's this?
