Mancini wary of wounded Arsenal

Roberto ManciniRoberto Mancini reckons both City and Arsenal will be out to prove a point at the Emirates after both sides suffered stinging last-minute defeats last weekend.  The Blues lost yet another derby in injury time, while Arsenal lost at Wigan by conceding three goals in the last 10 minutes. "Arsenal are a fantastic team who played very well at Wigan, but again football proved to be very strange as they led 2-0 and lost 3-2 in the last few minutes. "They will probably be more dangerous after losing at Wigan, but it's the same for us. We will be more dangerous because we lost against United, in a game we didn't deserve to lose." The tough games for City and Spurs, plus wins for Liverpool and Aston Villa in the week, have seen the race for fourth open out into a four-way chase once again. "Something has changed because Liverpool and Villa are very close. "But they have played one game more, but if Villa can beat us at home they still have a chance," Mancini said. He is aiming for three wins from the last four games, believing that will be enough to clinch a Champions League spot - as long as one of the victories is against Spurs at Eastlands on May 5. "We have four games and it depends on us," he said. "We have two points less than Tottenham but still have to meet them in Manchester. "We have a chance and can win the next three games - why not? It's important that in four games we get nine points, and beat Tottenham at home." How do you see the race for fourth playing out? Have your say.| Submit Comments| Comments (59)| PrintWhat's this?
