The Italian even reckons the flashpoint was needed to spark a lacklustre Blues side into life. ?What happened, happens in our dressing room,? said Mancini. ?And when it matters it is good that it happens. ?Against Newcastle, City slept in the first half and the confrontation with Tevez was the alarm call everybody needed. We sorted everything before the restart. When I took him off at the end we shook hands.? Meanwhile, the Dutch FA has also been left red-faced by the admission that they had planned to present de Jong with a silver salver ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifier with Sweden next week. Holland traditionally makes the award to players making landmark appearances, and the game would have been his 50th cap. But the award had to be called off when de Jong was dropped by head coach Bert van Marwijk amid the furore surrounding his tackle. Dutch FA head Bert van Oostveen said: ?Nigel will now get this honour another time. We will keep it at the headquarters. We will have to give it to him once he gets called up again.?
