Mancini tells Toure he is still part of Man City's push for fourth place

Kolo Toure has been told he stay has a huge part in Manchester City's drive for Champions League football despite the defender falling out of favour in recent weeks.[LNB]Big part: Manchester City defender Kolo Toure[LNB]The £14million recruit from Arsenal last summer was appointed captain of the club under former boss Mark Hughes but has seen his armband given to goalkeeper Shay Given under Roberto Mancini.[LNB]But the Manchester City manager assured the Ivory Coast international, who turns 29 this Friday, that he can still lead the club to their fourth place finish target this term.[LNB]Toure has made just five appearances this year having been hampered by a knee injury following his return from the Africa Cup of Nations in January. [LNB]Although he has regained his fitness, Toure has lost his place in City's defence to Joleon Lescott and Vincent Kompany, who have been preferred in recent weeks.[LNB]But Italian Mancini insisted: 'Kolo was out of the team initially because he had a [knee] problem for two weeks.[LNB]'He is OK now and still very important for us. We still have a lot ofgames left and we will need all the players to be 100 per cent.'[LNB]Toure will be hoping to feature at Fulham on Sunday with Lescott a candidate to replace injured Wayne Bridge at left-back and start alongside Kompnay.
