Family man: City manager Mancini[LNB]Roberto Mancini is making plans to bring his family over from Italy after growing confident he can keep his job at Manchester City. [LNB]A 4-2 win at Chelsea last week relieved the pressure on the Eastlands boss after a stuttering run of form, but he knows that his position is under threat if he cannot guide City into the top four. [LNB]Mancini signed a three-and-a-half-year deal when he took over from Mark Hughes in December, but his wife and two sons did not follow amid fears he would not last more than six months. [LNB]After a promising start City slumped last month and they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Stoke City, as well as the League Cup by neighbours United. [LNB]But Mancini defiantly told Italian weekly Chi: 'I was called and asked to take Manchester City to success in the Premier League and I am working 18 hours a day to reach this objective. [LNB]'I have won everywhere that I have coached and City will win as well. I miss my family who have stayed in Bologna but they will be joining me after the summer and we will look for a house in the centre and I will no longer be alone.' [LNB] [LNB]  Speaking of the drop in form Mancini said: 'The team needs to grow. We are looking for a Champions League place as a starting point, I have only just arrived so the project has just begun. [LNB]'At the moment I am thinking only of City and I will stay here for several years but one day I would like to return to Italy and coach the national team.' [LNB]Mancini, who was at Inter for four years and won three titles, two Italian Cups and two Italian Supercups, also tried to play down his bust-up with Craig Bellamy. [LNB]'It was just a little work discussion but it was blown out of all proportion, into something that was just not true. I never give much thought to these things I hear.' [LNB]Mancini, who has become something of a fashion icon with his scarf during matches, said: 'The first day I arrived I put a City scarf around my neck as an instinctive gesture because I liked the colours.[LNB] [LNB] Back on track: Craig Bellamy scored twice as City beat Chelsea 4-2 last Saturday[LNB]'From that day everyone is doing it now, no other manager had ever done anything like that before.' [LNB]Mancini, who is living in hotel suite in Manchester and studying English when not working, also revealed how he had heard from other Italians in the Premier League, but not England boss Fabio Capello. [LNB]'I heard from (Carlo) Ancelotti and (Gianfranco) Zola but nothing from Capello,' he said. [LNB]'I like the post match atmosphere in the Premier League. Managers go into a lounge and have a glass of wine and talk about the game while players are with their families all eating together. [LNB]'There is no bitterness and the game ends when the referee blows his whistle with every rivalry and argument finishing there and then.'
