Manchester City's Sylvinho confident of causing upset against Manchester United

The 35-year-old, who signed for City last month, is no stranger to causing United heartache after he featured in Pep Guardiola's Barcelona squad which defeated Sir Alex Ferguson's side in last season's Champions League final. Players have come [to City] because they feel it's a good time to be here."[LNB]In the build up to the weekend's Manchester derby, Ferguson has done his bit to raise the hostility levels between the two clubs by branding his Eastlands neighbours as "cocky", and insisting Hughes must win the league in order o justify his enormous summer spending.[LNB]Anticipating a volatile match at Old Trafford on Sunday, the Scot said: "They are signing these players and then they come out with the (Tévez) advert, the poster, they've been a bit, how can you put it? Cocky. They've been cocky.[LNB]"I think it (rivalry) has gone up a notch in the last few months. It will be quite a volatile game (on Sunday). They've had a softish start to the season with two or three easier games, but the result against Arsenal on Saturday was the one that surprised people. Scoring four goals against Arsenal was an emphatic result.[LNB]"When you get off to a good start, it definitely galvanises you and gives you the confidence.[LNB]"And of course, they have such a big squad and a lot of players they have about seven centre-forwards. It's amazing. But when you have spent that kind of money, and the wages they are paying, you have to win the league with that kind of investment[LNB]
