Manchester City star Vincent Kompany amazed at Barcelona's decision to let Yaya Toure leave

Manchester City star Vincent Kompany has questioned Barcelona's decision to allow midfield lynchpin Yaya Toure to move to Eastlands.

Toure has been a key man for the Catalan giants in recent years but was shipped out of the Nou Camp by Barca boss Pep Guardiola in a £28million deal.

And new City team-mate Kompany reckons the Ivory Coast international will be a massive hit at Eastlands and admits he is amazed that the La Liga champions let him leave the club.

'Toure is a natural-born winner and he will add so much to our team.

'I cannot understand why Barcelona let him leave. He has a big challenge to help us become one of the best teams in the Premier League and Europe.

'He is so important because of the great experience that he has and gives us something which we have lacked in the team.'
