The powerful Ivorian, who recently extended his stay at the Etihad for a further four years was awarded the Man Of The Match award this Sunday.
Roberto Mancini's men ran out 2-1 victors over London club Chelsea, and have booked themselves an appearance in the FA Cup final against Wigan Athletic. In what has been a rather disappointing season for Manchester City, they have the opportunity to end the season on a high with some silverware. Roberto Mancini claimed that City's goals at the start of the season were to retain their Premier League crown and win the FA Cup.
Toure hailed his teams defence as City soaked up all the late pressure from Chelsea after Demba Ba's late, athletic goal - whilst Sergio Aguero maintained his excellent goal-scoring rate with his goal against Chelsea. City will rue the fact they have missed their talismanic forward for crucial parts of the season - but having him fit for another FA Cup final will be music to the ears for Roberto Mancini.
