According to the Express, City will offer Inter £10 million plus fellow Brazilian Elano in exchange for Maicon and the player's agent, Antonio Celiendo, said: "Maicon is the best right-back in the world. "I can rule out that Manchester United are interested but City have made an approach." Meanwhile, reports suggest City weill turn their attentions to West Ham defender Matthew Upson if they fail to prize Joleon Lescott away from Everton. Lescott has been linked with a £15m move to City but Everton manager David Moyes is refusing to sell the England international and now Hughes is considering offering £15m plus Valeri Bojinov for Upson.
