Manchester City have best squad - United have advantage, says Brian Kidd

Brian Kidd insists he wouldn't swap Manchester City's squad with anyone else and warned: We're only going to get stronger.[LNB]The Eastlands assistant manager insists the Barclays Premier League title is Manchester United's to lose, but the impending arrival of Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg will further show City's intent.[LNB]Kidd refused to confirm the Dzeko deal, but Sportsmail understands that the Bosnia and Herzegovina striker should clinch a move for an initial £28million by the end of the week.[LNB] Ain't no stopping us now: Balotelli (second right) is mobbed on his way to helping City thrash Villa[LNB][LNB]But with Espanyol defender Victor Ruiz also lined up, Kidd warned Roberto Mancini was constantly looking at ways to improve an expensively assembled squad.[LNB]'I don't think it's right to speak aboutother players at other clubs,' said Kidd. 'Only one man will decide - and that's the boss.[LNB]'If he feels he can improve the squad and there's a player available he will definitely explore that.'[LNB]Masterminds: City boss Mancini gives instruction alongside his assistant Kidd (right)[LNB] [LNB]Dzeko's arrival is expected to hasten the departure of Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz, but Mancini has plenty of attacking options to call on.[LNB]Mario Balotelli is showing signs of fulfilling his stratospheric reputation, while David Silva is also improving and Carlos Tevez has led by example - at least on the pitch - this season.[LNB]'I wouldn't swap our squad for anyone else's,'  said Kidd. The lads have done terrifically well. It has always been a top-four place that we were aiming for and we are doing OK on that.[LNB]'But nobody is getting carried away and we know there is a lot of hard work to come.'[LNB]Having been part of title-winning outfits as Sir Alex Ferguson's No 2 at Manchester United, Kidd realises it takes more than pure ability to collect the major prizes.[LNB]Handling pressure is also a crucial factor, which is presumably why City's backroom staff are so keen to take it away from their club.[LNB]For as long as it was plausible, Mancini dismissed his own side's chances of glory by claiming Chelsea would finish top 'easily'.[LNB] Come and get me: Dzeko is on the verge of leaving Wolfsburg for Manchester City[LNB]That statement is clearly bankrupt, so Kidd is pointing to his own club who have destiny at their doorstep.[LNB]'It's obviously Manchester United's to lose now,' he said. 'It is in their hands. You can't get away from that fact. They have been round the block and know how to win league titles.[LNB]'Their work is not done in January. Everyone gets kidded that they hit form about now but but they start with their preparation in July and go on from that.'[LNB]Mancini intends to freshen up his side once more after collecting maximum points from the first two games of a four-match programme that ends with a significant trip to Arsenal next Wednesday.[LNB]Kolo Toure is expected to return, although with Jerome Boateng, Aleksandar Kolarov and Tevez as City look to become the first team to complete a league double over Ian Holloway'ssurprise packages.[LNB] City offer Santa Cruz to Wolfsburg in bid to clinch £35m Dzeko deal We'd be happy to have Man City sulker Balotelli at AC Milan, admits AllegriBordeaux chief admits Man City could be closing in on midfielder DiarraMan City 4 Aston Villa 0: Mario bags a hat-trick but insists: I'm not homesickMANCHESTER CITY FC
