Manchester City boss Mancini reveals disappointment at suspended Vieira

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed his disappointment at January signing Patrick Vieira after the Frenchman was banned for three matches for kicking out at an opposition player.[LNB]Vieira fell to the ground under attention from Stoke City's Glenn Whelan during Tuesday's Premier League match and jabbed out a foot that caught the midfielder in the groin. [LNB]Former Arsenal man Vieira escaped punishment from the referee at the time but was slapped with an FA charge for violent conduct.[LNB] Double trouble: Vieira kicks out at Glenn Whelan resulting in a three-match ban (above), while Martin Petrov is also sidelined with a knee injury (below)[LNB] He will miss this weekend's match against Liverpool as well the FA Cup fifth-round replay versus Stoke and Premier League match at Chelsea. [LNB]Mancini said: 'Patrick made a mistake as far as I am concerned. He will now miss three important matches.
