Vincent Kompany has warned Tottenham that Manchester City are ready for a repeat of their dramatic Champions League shoot-out.[LNB]Spurs edged City out of fourth position in the Barclays Premier League and a place among Europe's elite when Peter Crouch scored the decisive goal at Eastlands in the penultimate game of last season.[LNB]The two clubs once again occupy fourth and fifth in the table, and the corresponding fixture - originally planned for April 16 - is being rescheduled because City face Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final that weekend.[LNB] Painful memory: Vincent Kompany (right) reels as Peter Crouch (centre) celebrates his crucial goal [LNB]Tottenham's Champions League commitments could push it towards theend of the season, but Kompany insists that City will be betterprepared this year if so much is riding on the result again.[LNB]'Wewill see what happens,' said the Belgium defender. 'We hope that we canmake a difference before, but if it has to go to that game again thenwe will be happy to play it.[LNB]'We are ready for big days - Spurs, United, everything that comes after this. We are ready for this.[LNB]'Weare more solid as a team and I don't think that we will be fazed by theimportance of the game. There are no surprises for us there.' [LNB]Qualifying for the Champions League could prove crucial in deciding Roberto Mancini's future as City boss.[LNB] Battle mode: Vincent Kompany (left) says City are ready to fight for fouth[LNB]ButKompany is confident they can secure enough wins to do it, even if theultimate ambition of winning the title looks beyond Mancini's side thisseason following Sunday's defeat at Chelsea.[LNB]He added: 'Itwas never going to be straightforward that we say that we want to bechampions and then we are, but I see us improving.[LNB]'We havebeen third and fourth and hopefully we want to stay there. We havelooked at the fixtures and think we have a good chance.[LNB]'Wecan win every game. If we win every game, then we will be there. Theteams around us are kind of guaranteed to get all the points so thereis still something to do.' [LNB]Sunday's clash at StamfordBridge ended with Chelsea striker Fernando Torres and City's EdinDzeko, who cost their new clubs a combined ?77million in the Januarytransfer window, still seeking their first Premier League goals.[LNB]On a high: Kompany says Torres (right) will come good[LNB]And Kompany believes it will be next season before either club sees their player in top form.[LNB]'Torres is one of the best players in the world, there is no doubt about it,' he added, 'one day he will wake up and he will be dangerous and scoring goals.[LNB]'There is no one doubting that his guy will do it for Chelsea at some stage. But if you change in January it is always going to be difficult to adapt. It would have been a miracle if he had done so.[LNB]'Edin is the same situation. Even though he has shown very good stuff for us, it is he hardest moment of the season to come into the team and have an impact.[LNB]'I know that next season we will get the best out of him, and it's probably the same for Chelsea and Torres.'
