The agent of fallen former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu last night claimed Manchester City are interested in the Romanian but a deal is very unlikely.
Mutu, 31, was sacked by Chelsea in 2004 after testing positive for cocaine and now plays for Fiorentina.
Agent Giovanni Becali said: 'Mancini strongly wants him at Manchester City and said he would be an ideal player for his team.'
City remain interested in Rubin Kazan defender Cristian Ansaldi, while Vladimir Weiss has rejected proposed moves to Bolton and Cologne.
