Both Manchester United and City are expected to keep an eye on Franck Ribery when he lines up for Bayern Munich in the Champions League tonight. But the unsettled France star is facing the the team he hopes to play for next season: Barcelona. Ribery and his team-mates face the unenviable task of overturning a four-goal deficit in the quarter-final, second leg at their Allianz Arena home in what is likely to be his last European match for Jurgen Klinsmann's men. The 26-year-old is on Manchester City's radar and would also interest United if Cristiano Ronaldo finally packs up and leaves for Real Madrid in the summer. Chelsea are also tracking him, but are more likely to sign Yuri Zhirkov from CSKA Moscow. But Catalonia is his preferred destination and his Bayern team-mate Mark van Bommel revealed: 'Franck has told me he wants to play for Barcelona.' The Spanish champions would be keen to use him on the left of their attacking three - a position that former Arsenal star Thierry Henry often occupies - and are keen to boost their attacking options. Talks are already thought to be at an advanced stage. The match could also be Spurs' legend Klinsmann's last European match with the Bavarians as he is on the brink of the sack after humiliation at home and abroad.
