Manchester City footballer Carlos Tevez is due in court Wednesday to face charges of driving while disqualified and without insurance.

Tevez was arrested last month and is alleged to have been driving a white Porsche Cayenne near his home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.

The Argentinian striker was banned from driving in January after admitting two counts of failing to provide information over incidents when his Hummer was logged speeding.

Tevez is due to appear at Macclesfield Magistrates Court.

Manchester City are currently lying second in the Premier League table, 15 points behind arch-rivals Manchester United.
