Duo still missing for City
Manchester City are still without injured defender Matija Nastasic and striker Stevan Jovetic for Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final against Wigan.
Edin Dzeko is in contention despite reports that he was unhappy about playing 90 minutes for Bosnia-Herzegovina in midweek due to a fitness issue.
With manager Manuel Pellegrini regularly playing his second-choice goalkeeper in domestic cup ties, there could be another opportunity for Costel Pantilimon.
The match is a repeat of last year's final, which was dramatically won by underdogs Wigan.
Pellegrini said: "We are just thinking about the game against Wigan. We know it is a tough game, they are playing very well.
"When we finish on Sunday in the FA Cup we will just start thinking about Barcelona."
City know from experience not to take Wigan lightly, even though they hammered them 5-0 in the Capital One Cup in September.
They were also given a scare by another Championship side in Watford in January, when they trailed 2-0 at half-time but recovered to win 4-2.
Pellegrini said: "We always have lessons for different things, for bad things and good things.
"Watford was an important lesson in that moment but every game was different.
"The most important thing is to try to make a good performance with our team because if not I am absolutely sure we are not going to win."
Wigan boss Uwe Rosler is viewing the match as a "bonus game" for his team in the context of everything they have achieved of late.
The Latics head into the rematch of last season's final in fine form, on a five-game winning streak in all competitions.
Their Sky Bet Championship record for February has earned Rosler, appointed in December, the division's manager of the month award and helped them into the play-off places.
Meanwhile, there has been more FA Cup magic for the club, with their defence of the trophy seeing them defeat Barclays Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Cardiff en route to only their third sixth-round appearance in the competition in their history.
With all that behind them - and a continued promotion push in the Championship ahead - Rosler is in no doubt the pressure is off Wigan for this match.
Asked how he had felt when the draw for the quarter-finals had been made, ex-City player Rosler said: "My first reaction was to ban all talk about the game.
"We only started talking this week about it - I think it was important prior to that that we focused on the league.
"And now, off the back of such a good month, I have said to the boys that this is a bonus game.
"Not that we will take it easy, but we will go into it with no pressure whatsoever. The pressure lies on City.
"We have already achieved a wonderful cup run - it is only the third time the club has been in the sixth round in our history, and doing that after last year's win has made it even more special."
