Manchester City welcome Fulham to Eastlands on Sunday looking to cure their Uefa Cup hangover.[LNB] The 3-1 defeat to Hamburg in Germany on Thursday was made even harder to swallow after Stephen Ireland had given them a 40 second first half lead. [LNB]In the end, the defeat proved costly in more ways than one with Mark Hughes' side suffering a number of injuries against the Bundesliga outfit.[LNB]Meanwhile, despite not having millions of pounds at his disposal, Roy Hodgson has led his side to ninth in the table, two points above City.[LNB]Hodgson's side have won just once on their travels this season while their hosts have taken 30 points from a possible 45 at home this term, winning their last six Premier League games at the City of Manchester stadium.[LNB]Man City team newsShaun Wright-Phillips (ankle), Benjani (re-ruptured thigh muscle) and Craig Bellamy (knee) all picked up knocks against Hamburg and all are doubtful for Sunday.[LNB]Defender Wayne Bridge could also miss out after he was substituted in the second-half in Germany with a reoccurrence of the injury which forced him off last weekend against Arsenal.[LNB]Vincent Kompany also hobbled off against the Gunners and he could be absent again. Nigel de Jong could return in place of the Belgian international after he was ineligible to play against his former club in midweek.[LNB]Stephen Ireland was doubtful for the Uefa Cup clash after injuring his ankle in training but he came through the match unscathed and should start again.[LNB]Winger Martin Petrov returned to the bench on Thursday after being out since August with cruciate knee ligament damage. The Bulgarian was not called on by Hughes but he could feature at the weekend.[LNB]Fulham team newsHodgson on the other hand has no new injuries to worry him ahead of the game.[LNB]Midfielder Zoltan Gera picked up a foot injury in the narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Liverpool last week and has not trained all week.[LNB]But the Cottagers manager is confident the winger will be fit for Sunday.[LNB]Defender Toni Kallio is another who has not trained this week after going down with a virus but the former Blackburn manager insists he will also be available for the match.[LNB]Possible starting XI's:[LNB]Man City: Given, Richards, Onuoha, Dunne, Garrido, Wright-Phillips, Zabaleta, De Jong, Ireland, Robinho, Sturridge.[LNB]Fulham: Schwarzer, Hughes, Hangeland, Pantsil, Konchesky, Murphy, Davies, Etuhu, Johnson, Zamora, Dempsey.[LNB]
