Brazil forward Robinho will not play in Saturday's friendly against England in Doha as he continues his recovery following an ankle injury. [LNB]The Manchester City star had joined up with his country yesterday despite having not fully recovered from a stress fracture of his ankle suffered while on international duty earlier this season. [LNB]However, he has not given up hope of being available to face Oman in another international friendly on Tuesday. That could spark a row between Brazil and City, who are due to meet Liverpool next Saturday in a lunchtime Barclays Premier League clash.[LNB] Too soon: Robinho has failed to make the glamour game in Qatar[LNB] [LNB]City were under the impression that Robinho was only leaving their training camp in Abu Dhabi to be examined by the Brazilian medical team but he has stayed with coach Dunga's side. [LNB]Asked whether he would be available to face England, Robinho said: 'I'm not fit yet but maybe I will be for the next game.'[LNB]The Brazilian star does not want to become involved in any potential club-versus-country row. [LNB]He has played down reports linking him with a move to Barcelona and says his father is his representative and has not spoken to any media outlets on that or any subject. [LNB]Robinho, via an official interpreter, said: 'I am so happy with my club. People talk a lot but the truth is I'm trying to be happy to play again. [LNB]'It is important that I do a good job for my club so I can play for my country. My club pays me but I always want to be with the national team when they meet up and I don't want a problem with my club or the national team.'[LNB]Play fair: Brazil boss Dunga[LNB]Robinho added: 'My obligation is to be here, and it's supported by FIFA. The people who need to understand each other are the Brazil national team and the club, not the player. [LNB]'When I am with Brazil it is like being back at home and being with your family.'[LNB]When asked about reports linking him to Barcelona, Robinho said: 'My father Represents me and my father has never given any interviews. I don't want to be in the middle of any problems with anybody.'[LNB]Dunga has urged City to 'show respect' to the five-times world champions as the row over Robinho's involvement with the squad rumbles on. [LNB]He said: 'People need to know we are the five-times world champions. It is Brazil we are talking about. [LNB]'They (Manchester City) have got to have respect for us. They just can't come to the team hotel and try and take the player (Robinho) away.  There is a hierarchy here that needs to be respected. [LNB]'We brought Robinho here so the doctors can be near to him and they are famous for getting the players fit quickly.'[LNB] Brazil midfielder Gilberto Silva is convinced Robinho will be staying at Eastlands.[LNB]  The former Arsenal player said: 'I think he is going to stay. There are a lot of rumours but that is often the case with big-name players. The player has tried to avoid controversy and maybe something he has said has not been very well interpreted. [LNB]'For the last few weeks he has been treating his injury and has been concerned because he wants to play for Manchester City and Brazil. [LNB]'My big advice to any player arriving in England is to learn the language, one of the most important things, and then learn the game. [LNB]'He has learned the game and his language is improving. I have helped him a bit with that and so has Kaka, who also speaks English.'
