Man City in swine flu scare as Bellamy and Weiss are struck down by virus

Manchester City have been hit by a swine flu scare. [LNB]Craig Bellamy has been suffering from the H1N1 virus in the past week, while highly-rated youngster Vladimir Weiss has already been ruled out of Saturday's Barclays Premier League match at Bolton.[LNB] Struck down: Craig Bellamy is recovering from swine flu[LNB]Defender Micah Richards was struck down by swine flu in August and City will now be on alert to ensure no more of their stars are sidelined. [LNB]First team coach Eddie Niedzwiecki is also ill but his case is not thought to be swine flu. Staff at the richest club in the world have also had swabs taken after reporting symptoms, with the club awaiting results.[LNB]Sidelined: Vladimir Weiss[LNB]City have taken precautions against the virus spreading, sending home anyone with symptoms home. Medical staff are examining any possible victims. [LNB]Wales striker Bellamy has been struggling with a knee injury in recent weeks but City hope he will return to face Bolton. [LNB]'It will be another two or three days before Craig is out on the training ground, and looking to force his way into the team at the weekend,' said assistant manager Mark Bowen. [LNB]'We will have to monitor that, as we will with Vladimir Weiss who missed the game on Saturday with swine flu as well.
