Women's Super League champions Manchester City salvaged a 1-1 draw at home to Birmingham on Wednesday thanks to Lucy Bronze's second-half equaliser.

Defender Bronze struck in the 58th minute of the WSL 1 Spring Series contest to cancel out Emily Westwood's 14th-minute opener, 10 days out from the two sides meeting again in the Women's FA Cup final at Wembley.

Chelsea followed up Sunday's 6-0 victory over Yeovil by winning 4-0 at Reading, with Karen Carney, Drew Spence, Ji So-yun and Hannah Blundell getting on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, Yeovil were beaten again, losing 3-2 at home to Bristol City.

The hosts were leading having replied to Claire Emslie's early penalty through Annie Heatherson and Sarah Wiltshire, but a subsequent Chloe Arthur effort and Nicola Cousins own goal handed all three points to the away side.
