Joleon Lescott says Roberto Mancini's Italian rants are the obvious sign that Manchester City have been under-performing so far this season.[LNB] England international Lescott has revealed how Mancini blows his top when City's expensive megastars fail to live up to his high expectations. [LNB]The Italian boss is known among the City ranks for his outbursts and recently clashed with skipper Carlos Tevez in a furious half-time row during their Premier League win against Newcastle.[LNB]But Lescott insists Mancini's tantrums get the message over to his players and will help push City towards silverware.[LNB]The 28-year-old said: "He demands high standards and he let us know at half-time against Blackpool last week that we weren't pulling our weight.[LNB]"Does he shout? Yes when necessary.[LNB]"You have to respect your manager and when he's giving his opinion on how performances have gone you have to respect that.[LNB]"It was a shock though the first time I heard him raise his voice. It was last season and I was out injured.[LNB]"I heard his voice and thought 'Wow'. I came to the games when I was injured and I heard him while I was standing in the corridor."[LNB]Lescott added: "But no one wants to disrespect him or let him down. He understands that as well so it's not very often that he does tell us off.[LNB]"He gets the message across. Sometimes there might be an occasion where he speaks a bit of Italian.[LNB]"It's not just for us to understand - it might be a little blast of emotion to get it off his chest.[LNB]"I don't know if they are swear words - I don't speak Italian."
