Kompany forced off as City held

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany was forced off with an apparent hamstring strain as Roberto Mancini's men were held to a goalless draw by Dynamo Dresden in Innsbruck.

Kompany pulled up late in the second half of the friendly as a strong City line-up featuring the likes of Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero failed to take their chances against their German opponents.

Vladimir Weiss came closest to breaking the deadlock on the hour mark while trialist striker Mario Jelavic looked to impress Mancini with an energetic second-half display.

Djibril Cisse scored twice as QPR kicked off their pre-season tour of Malaysia and Indonesia with a 5-0 win over Malaysian side Sabah.

Cisse's double eased Rangers into their tour and he was joined on the scoresheet by team-mates Heidar Helguson, Bobby Zamora and Jay Bothroyd.

A youthful West Brom line-up fell to a 1-0 defeat at Worcester City with Mike Symons grabbing the only goal, while Reading won 3-2 at Ebbsfleet thanks to goals from Jake Taylor, Jordan Obita and Brett Williams.
