Kolo Toure accepts six-week Manchester City fine for failed drugs test
Kolo Toure has accepted a ?740,000 six-week fine from Manchester City after failing a drugs test earlier this year, which saw the defender serve a six-month ban for testing positive last February.[LNB]The Ivory Coast international was collared by World Anti-Doping chiefs after he used a banned stimulant which he blamed on taking his wife's diet pills to help control his weight.[LNB]A club statement read: 'Following the conclusion of an internal disciplinary process, Manchester City Football Club can confirm that Kolo Toure has received a fine of six weeks' wages which relates to doping offences committed by him earlier this year.
