Kolarov fell out of favor with the City fans towards the end of last season and recently hinted at the possibility of leaving the Etihad this summer.
"I'm in contact with my agent and soon we will understand what will happen," Kolarov said.
"Money is not everything in life and I have no problem in revising my salary. Simply I want a place in the starting line-up."
The 27-year-old joined City from Lazio for €22 million in 2010 and still has two-years left on his contract.
The Serbian international scored three times and provided three assists in 30 appearances for the Citizens last season.
