There are fears he could be out for longer, and with Wayne Bridge still out with  toe injury, the Blues will draft in either Pablo Zabaleta or Joleon Lescott for Thursday night?s Europa League tie at Timisoara. Jerome Boateng was also absent from the travelling party but is expected to come into contention for Monday's Premier League game against Liverpool. Meanwhile, Shay Given was on the plane to Romania this morning despite boss Roberto Mancini saying the goalkeeper would be allowed to leave the club if he wished. What do you think?
