Key pair set for City return

Mark Hughes expects to have both Shaun Wright-Phillips and Pablo Zabaleta back for next Sunday's Manchester derby. United know victory will take them a significant step closer to a Premier League title hat-trick. However, having completed a third successive league win for the first time this season with Saturday's defeat of Blackburn, City are in good heart too for the trip to Old Trafford. And with points required to maintain a push for the final place on offer in next season's Europa League, the return of Wright-Phillips and Zabaleta from ankle and hamstring injuries respectively could not be better timed. "We are in good heart and that will help us going into next week's big game when we should have Pablo Zabaleta and Shaun Wright-Phillips back," Hughes told Key103. "It is important, given the quality of opposition that we are going up against, that we have plenty of options and that is what we will have if they are fit." Fulham's defeat at Chelsea on Saturday means City are now only a single point away from seventh, the place currently held by West Ham. Tottenham, victors against West Brom at the weekend and the Blues' opponents in a key game at White Hart Lane in a fortnight, complete the group of four in contention. "We will probably need to take points from each of our last three matches," said Hughes, whose side close their campaign against Bolton at Eastlands on May 23. "We would love to get back into Europe because it is important that we get more experience."
