Joorabchian backs Tevez ambition
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez was won over by Mark Hughes' vision for the club when signing at Eastlands, according to his representative Kia Joorabchian.
The former West Ham, Boca Juniors and Corinthians striker swapped Old Trafford for Eastlands in the summer after failing to agree a permanent deal with Manchester United.
Tevez was being tracked by a number of top European clubs and kept his options open for a long period during the summer before finally agreeing to join City's revolution.
Joorabchian, who held the economic rights to Tevez before his £25million move across Manchester, insists his client was not motivated by the new-found glamour of City but instead by their ambition.
He told Talksport: "Most importantly, in his discussions with Mark, he asked 'Are you really going to build a great team to achieve something?'
"He took that risk because he believed in what Mark Hughes had told him, and that was the main deciding factor for him.
"The decision that Carlos made was very well thought out.
"His thought processes were very long. On a football scale, Carlos first and foremost always thinks about his career and what he wants.

"Carlos has won every single major trophy that he has ever competed in, except for the World Cup.
"In South America he's won the Argentinian championship, he's won best player in Argentina three times in a row - something which neither Pele nor (Diego) Maradona did.
"He's won the Brazilian championship, he won the Champions League, he's won the Premier League, he won the Copa Libertadores."
Despite City's wealth under the ownership of Sheikh Mansour, the club are still considered by some to be a less glamorous club with few historic landmarks, something which Tevez is intent on changing.
Joorabchian added: "When he was making his decision he wanted a club that had a lot of ambition where he could actually achieve some great things, [a club] that had not actually achieved that greatness."
