Johnson makes a big impression on Manchester City defender Lescott

Making an impact: City winger Adam Johnson[LNB]Joleon Lescott says he is not shocked by Manchester City team-mate Adam Johnson's man of the match performance at Bolton.[LNB] Johnson joined Roberto Mancini's side in a £8.5million deal from Middlesbrough on transfer deadine day and excelled in his first start for City at Eastlands on Tuesday night.[LNB] City won 2-0 and moved up to fifth in the Barclays Premier League.[LNB]The winger will miss this weekend's FA Cup tie with Stoke City after playing against City at the Riverside in the third round but will be back for the Premier League trip to the Potteries in midweek.[LNB]Lescott said: 'Some supporters might have been surprised by the quality and confidence he showed against Bolton but the players weren't,' declared the England defender.'He was outstanding in that game.
