The new City superstar has become the new darling of the England fans with two goals in two Euro 2012 qualifying games and last night was being lauded on the blue carpet at the world premiere of the new film ?Blue Moon Rising.? It has been a meteoric rise for a player who was playing Championship football with Middlesbrough eight months ago and the unassuming Sunderland-born ace admits he sometimes has to pinch himself. ?Everything has happened so quickly but long may it continue, beginning with Saturday,? said Johnson, one of a handful of Blues who attended the premiere. ?It has been one of the best weeks of my life so far, scoring two in two for England. ?I have just been living in a dream world. ?I knew when I signed for the club that playing with world-class players would bring me on as a footballer.? But behind his modest facade, Johnson says he has a lot of inner strength, which will help him deal with the new-found fame. ?Deep down I was confident I could come here and improve myself, and to be honest I have really enjoyed playing with the types of player we have here,? he said. ?Now there?s a film about the club ? I never thought that is something that would ever happen to me! ?The last few months have been incredible and everything has been changing so fast. But we are a big club now so we have to get used to this limelight.?| Submit Comments| Comments (28)| Printable VersionAdd A CommentEnter your comments:Sending
