James Milner believes Manchester City have the blueprint for success because of the number of England players now in the squad. [LNB]The former Aston Villa midfielder has joined the likes of goalkeeper Joe Hart, Gareth Barry, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Adam Johnson, Joleon Lescott and Micah Richards at Eastlands. [LNB]Milner celebrated his debut on Monday in the 3-0 home victory against Liverpool. [LNB] Flying start: Milner enjoyed a winning Manchester City debut against Liverpool[LNB]He said: 'You look at every team that has done well in the Premier League and they had an English core. It is the same in any country but you need the perfect mix and the perfect balance. [LNB]'That is down to the manager and I think (Roberto Mancini) has done that here. As long as everyone is bringing something to the table, it is good to have that mix, and get it right. [LNB]'We had a number of English players the other night but we can also chop and change because of the quality we have on the bench, not to mention the players who are injured. It is a fantastic squad and hopefully we can go places.'[LNB] And Milner insists he is at City for medals not money. [LNB] Home comforts: England duo Barry (left) and Hart are key men at Eastlands[LNB]'Anyone who knows me knows I am in football to win trophies,' he said. 'If it was just about money, I was paid very well at Villa and was happy in Birmingham. [LNB]'I was also more guaranteed of playing every week there than I am here. So if it was about that, surely I would have stayed there rather than coming here. [LNB]'I will be battling for my place every week and trying to win trophies. With better players around me I will keep improving every day in training.'[LNB] Milner will sit out City's Europa League play-off second leg match tonight against FC Timisoara as he was not registered in time. Mancini's side hold a 1-0 advantage.  [LNB] Milner hits back at Ireland's criticism of City and claims Eastlands is the bestSign up to our FREE Fantasy Football game - with £40,000 in prize money up for grabsMancini vows to give Brazilian misfit Jo one last shot at Manchester CityMan City star Milner dreams of teaming up with Scholes in England midfieldMANCHESTER CITY FC
