Ireland worry for City

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is facing mounting selection problems ahead of this weekend's eagerly-anticipated derby clash. With Brazilian Robinho already ruled out for several weeks with a stress fracture, Carlos Tevez struggling with a knee problem and striker Emmanuel Adebayor awaiting the Football Association's response to his antics at the weekend, Hughes may also have to do without midfielder Stephen Ireland for Sunday's short trip to Old Trafford. The 23-year-old aggravated an ankle during Saturday's 4-2 victory over Arsenal and faces an anxious wait to see if he can play at United. Hughes told the Manchester Evening News: "On Saturday, it was touch and go whether he went out for the second-half, so we had to get him off."
