ShareCarlos Tevez has been told his international exile will continue - despite the Manchester City striker shooting to the top of the Barclays Premier League scoring charts.[LNB]The 27-year-old hit two in Tuesday's 3-1 win against Stoke to put himself level with Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov as the top flight's most prolific hot shots, with 20 goals.[LNB]But Argentina boss Sergio Batista decided not to even watch City's win and said the goals will make no difference to his opinion of Tevez, who looks almost certain to be left out of Argentina's squad for the Copa America in July.[LNB] Forgotten man: Despite his goals Tevez still can't win a place in his national side[LNB]The country's powerful FA chief Julio Grondona last week indicated Tevez would be selected for the tournament, but Batista would rather make do with Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero.[LNB]'I had things to do and didn't see Tevez play (against Stoke),' said Batista. 'There's no need to score two goals. I know the kind of player he is. I do not rule out Carlos, he is very good player. But my No 9 is Messi and I also have Higuain. It's hard for him (to be picked for the Copa America).'[LNB]Batista has not picked Tevez since he pulled out injured from November's friendly against Brazil in Doha, only to play for City four days later.[LNB] Argy bargy: Tevez bags a goal at the World Cup (above) where he was favoured by boss Maradona (below)[LNB] [LNB] Argy bargy: Tevez bags a goal at the World Cup (above) where he was favoured by boss Maradona (below)[LNB]The former West Ham and Manchester United player is also believed to have angered the coach by speaking out against the sacking of Diego Maradona on the eve of Batista's debut match against the Republic of Ireland in August.[LNB]But Batista insisted his decision to leave out Tevez was for footballing reasons.[LNB]'The same was said about Aguero when he was absent,' said Batista about the Atletico Madrid striker married to Maradona's daughter Giannina. [LNB] City gent: Tevez's brace helped his side leap-frog Arsenal in third place in the Premier League[LNB]'I explained to Sergio not to look at those things. I didn't take revenge. It's the same for Tevez. There are football reasons and tastes. And today my No 9 is Messi - it's nothing personal.'[LNB]Messi, who never played club football in his homeland after leaving as a child to sign for Barcelona, is often criticised by fans for not performing at his usual high standards for Argentina.[LNB]Tevez, the former Boca Juniors player with 12 goals in 58 caps, has many supporters because of his committed style, but that does not appear to be enough for Batista.[LNB] Farewell for good? the Argentine's future has been the subject of much debate[LNB]  Mancini claims Tevez will stay at City despite striker's 'farewell' waveSuccess won't stop me leaving City!
