Carlos Tevez's former representative Kia Joorabchian has revealed that manager Mark Hughes played a significant role in persuading the forward to join Manchester City.[LNB] The Argentina international secured his move to Eastlands on Tuesday, signing a five-year contract with the ambitious Premier League club.[LNB]Tevez's two-year loan deal at Manchester United expired at the end of last season and, despite being offered a permanent stay, he signed for the Red Devils' rivals.[LNB]Joorabchian, whose MSI company no longer hold the rights to Tevez, has explained that the opportunity to work alongside former United striker Hughes at City was too good to turn down.[LNB]PainHe told Sky Sports News: "He [Mark Hughes] was very important because he gave Carlos a lot of confidence after explaining that he was his No.1 target.[LNB]"He said to Carlos that he understood the pain he has been feeling and understands what he needs. He spoke very highly of Carlos technically.[LNB]"Mark played in the same position as he does. He played for Man United and now manages Man City, and understands every emotion Carlos is going through. It was a very important factor."[LNB]JoyHe continued: "I think it is a very important deal. Carlos is very, very happy about the move.[LNB]"I think at the end of the season when he realised his loan spell was over at United and when he talked to the people at City, he realised the vision and plan for the club is very big.[LNB]"City had talks with Carlos for a couple of weeks. All the rights have now been passed over to City."[LNB]
