Hughes - Jo still in plans

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has revealed that striker Jo could still have a future at the club.[LNB] The Brazilian has spent the second half of the season on-loan at Premier League rivals Everton, following an unsuccessful start to his career at Eastlands.[LNB]Since the switch though, Jo has been in sparkling form for the Toffees, netting five times in just nine appearances and proving to be an inspired choice to cover for Everton's beleaguered attacking options.[LNB]Subsequently, the Merseysiders have been heavily linked with a permanent move for the 22-year-old Brazil international in the close season.[LNB]But with an outlay of £20 million being spent by City to bring the front man to England from CSKA Moscow last summer, Hughes has now indicated that the club's one-time record-signing could have a role to play for his side in the 09/10 campaign.[LNB]"If he comes back here, we'll have benefitted from him playing the games he has," said Hughes when questioned over the possibility of the Brazilian's return. [LNB]"Can he have a future here? Yes he can." [LNB]
