Passionate: City manager Hughes[LNB]Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has told his players to carry on arguing if they feel the need.   [LNB]Hughes has noticed a sea change in the atmosphere at Eastlands since bringing in a number of international stars in the summer.   [LNB]He feels there is an edge to the squad now that was not there previously and emphasised by the recent draw against Hull.   [LNB]Goalkeeper Shay Given revealed the bedlam in the dressing room after the game with players at each others' throats and the management also joining in the verbal jousting.   [LNB]The result of that heated debate was successive wins against Arsenal in the Carling Cup and Barclays Premier League leaders Chelsea.   [LNB]Next up are Bolton on Saturday and assistant manager Mark Bowen told the Manchester Evening News: 'When we came into the club there seemed to be apathy around the place and in the standards among the group.   [LNB]'If we lost a game it was almost as if players tended to accept it of each other. It was a horrible feeling to come into the dressing room and accept that.   [LNB]'We were delighted to see the reaction after the Hull game. Things were said by management and staff as well. We are all very demanding of each other.   [LNB]'You can't let it turn into a problem, where it gets physical, but on this occasion, it was a breathe of fresh air.   [LNB]'Some of them could have gone away and complained that the manager didn't fancy them. But they didn't do that - they got on and did something about it.'[LNB] Battlers: Robinho (left) and Carlos Tevez celebrate as City beat Chelsea[LNB] De Jong has the Dutch courage to be a star of the World Cup, says ToureSeason starts at Old Trafford - where so many City dreams died, says Dunne Robinho's Barca move faces collapse as Man City struggle to land VillaManchester City target Toure rules out leaving Barcelona in JanuaryMANCHESTER CITY FC
