Hughes: I don't get the credit I deserve for the job I have done with City

Mark Hughes believes he is the most unappreciated manager in the top half of Barclays Premier League. City boss Hughes has endured an up and down first season at Manchester City but, with two games remaining, still has an outside chance of guiding the club to seventh spot and qualification for next season's inaugural Europa League. But last night Hughes hinted at his frustrations with life under the spotlight at the world's richest football club and suggested that he has not had the credit he deserves for guiding City to within touching distance of their highest ever Premier League finish. Hughes' team face Harry Redknapp's Tottenham tomorrow at White Hart Lane and said: 'Harry's done a good job, similar to the one I've done myself he gets a bit more credit than I do, mind, but there you go.
